When a bill is created, we provide multiple options for the user to pay. The two main options are mobile payment link and QRPH standee. In this article, we’ll dive in on these two to let you know the pros and cons of each method.

QRPH Standee:

This method is the most effortless payment method for the patient. Patient scans a QR standee, enters the amount, and VIOLA payment is made.

Pros:

  • Familiarity

  • Ease of use

Cons:

  • You have to tell the patient how much to pay

  • There is a chance that the payment doesn’t get matched automatically in case the patient's last name doesn’t match the payee's last name.

Neither of the cons are deal breakers. We expect this to be the main method people use to make payments in the clinic.

Mobile Payment Link:

An alternative method to paying is via the Mobile Payment Link. Upon completing the consultation, the patient will receive a payment link via SMS, which leads to this on their mobile device.

Pros:

  • No need for user to enter bill amount, it’s prefilled

  • Perfect automatic match every time, less work for the clinic

  • If the patient doesn’t have QRPH, they can pay via credit card in this method.

Cons:

  • It’s unfamiliar to the patient

  • It requires a little more work, as the patient needs to screenshot the QR first.

We expect some patients to prefer this method over QRPH standee, especially for those patients that insist on paying via credit card.

In any case, both methods work, just pick the one that works best for you and your patient!
