Billing Overview
In your clinic, you probably have a notebook or a logbook where you or your secretary jot down how much a patient paid.
Imagine that logbook in a more advanced, organized, and easily accessible digital form—this is exactly what the Billing section of SeriousMD offers.
Think of the Billing portion of SeriousMD as your digital logbook. It allows you to track all patient payments, whether they’re settled in-person, online, or via HMOs, in one streamlined system.
There are multiple ways you can bill a patient, depending on your workflow and needs.
Available Billing Methods
Manual Billing – Create and track detailed bills from scratch.
Online Billing – Send bills directly to patients via SMS, email, or the NowServing app for digital payment.
Quick Bill – Perfect for routine consultations and simple transactions.

How to Send an Online Bill
You create the bill as normal but this time, you now click Save and Send to Patient to send the bill to the patient for online payment.
The patient will receive a notification via SMS, email (if available), or through the NowServing app.
They can settle the bill online, making the process simple for both parties.
Note: The "Save & Send to Patient" button will only be available if the patient record has a mobile number
