Vaccine Feature: Scheduling and Tracking Vaccinations

Written by Chelsea

The Vaccine Feature lets you schedule patients for vaccination, track administered doses, and keep each patient's immunization record in one place. It is available to all doctors on the web version of SeriousMD.

There are two ways to schedule a vaccination: from the Queue, or from the patient's profile.

Schedule a vaccination from the Queue

Step 1: Go to your Queue and open the Vaccinations tab.

Step 2: Click Schedule Patient for Vaccination.

Step 3: The Appointment Details modal will appear. Select the vaccine and dose.

The system will recommend a vaccine and dose but you can also search for a specific one.

Step 4: Set the time of the appointment if you want to. This is optional.

The patient will now appear in your Vaccinations queue for that day.

Schedule a vaccination from the patient profile

Step 1: Open the patient's profile and click Book Appointment.

Step 2: Select the date and clinic.

Step 3: When the Appointment Details pop-up appears, choose Vaccination.

Choose how you want to set the appointment:

  • Set and Save Appointment saves the appointment right away. The patient is scheduled on that date at that clinic.

  • Send Appointment Invite sends the booking details to your patient. Once they confirm by booking, you accept the request and the appointment is set.

Schedule a vaccination from the Immunization/Vaccination table

How it connects to the NowServing Baby Book

Whenever you record a vaccine in the patient's chart, it shows up in the parent's Baby Book.

Everything you have recorded shows under History > Immunization / Vaccination.

On the patient's end, the same vaccines appear in the Baby Book, grouped by age. Doses still due are flagged in red as overdue.

The schedule follows the Philippine Pediatric Society Immunization Calendar.

They can tap a specific vaccine to see the date and the doctor who administered it.
