SeriousMD now partners with the ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross). ICRC staff and their dependents can book consultations through NowServing, and ICRC covers the cost for them.
We'll explain here what that means for you and how you get paid for your professional fees ⬇️
What this means for you
ICRC patients don't pay at your clinic. Their covered services are paid for by ICRC.
You bill your usual professional fee. Charge the same fee you normally would, through our billing system.
You're paid in your regular NowServing payout. ICRC consults are included in your normal weekly payout.
Before you start
Make sure these are set correctly in SeriousMD, so your payment isn't held up:
Your professional fee.
Your payout details.
Upload your BIR Form 2303.
If you're not sure these are complete, send us a we'll check yours. 👍
How you'll recognize an ICRC patient
You'll see it when you bill. After you confirm the bill, the payment screen shows an ICRC Employee Benefit card that says the patient is eligible for the benefit.
💥 If you see this card, click Send Pay Link. Don't mark the bill as paid in Cash etc.
How to bill an ICRC patient
Go to Calendar and choose the clinic. Click the ⋯ beside the patient's name, then Quick Bill.
Choose Consultation (or any other additional services you'd like to add). Click Confirm Billing.
Under How will the patient pay?, you'll see the ICRC Employee Benefit card. Click Send Pay Link.
The pay link goes to the patient by SMS and email. You'll see Payment link sent via SMS and email on your screen.
When the patient opens the link in their NowServing account, their ICRC benefit is applied to the bill and ICRC covers the full fee.
How you get paid
You bill through NowServing as usual, and the amount comes through in your regular NowServing payout. There's no separate claim to file and no change to your payout cycle.
❌ If you'd rather not see ICRC patients
Every doctor is included by default. If you prefer not to take ICRC patients, let support know and we'll take note.
Questions
If a patient's coverage or billing isn't clear, or you have any other question about the ICRC partnership, reply to support and we'll help.
