When you send an Online Bill through SeriousMD, your patients receive a payment link via SMS, email, or in-app notification. To make this process smoother and more reliable, we’re updating the format of those links.

Moving forward, payment links will use our official short link smd.now/ instead of payments.seriousmd.com/

What is smd.now?

smd.now is SeriousMD’s official short link domain.

It allows us to display shorter, cleaner, and more user-friendly URLs whenever you send Online Bills or other payment-related links to your patients.

This link is owned and managed by SeriousMD and is fully secure.

Why are we using it?

  • Shorter and cleaner links (easier to read and recognize)

  • Less chance of errors when links are copied, forwarded, or typed

  • Better deliverability in SMS messages with fewer cases of links breaking

  • Consistent branding so patients immediately know the link is from SeriousMD

How can I verify that the link is real?

You can confidently tell your patients that the payment link is legitimate if:

  • The message comes from our official sender (SMS, email, or from the NowServing app)

  • The page shows your name, the patient's first name, and the correct bill details

  • The link starts with https://smd.now/

What should I do if I’m unsure?

If you or your patient ever receive a link that looks suspicious, or if something feels off:

  • Do not proceed with the payment

  • Contact SeriousMD Support through in-app chat so we can verify it immediately

  • For patients, they may contact NowServing Support by emailing support@nowserving.ph or messaging us through Facebook
